ROLLERFEST PLOVDIV 2017

Festival of roller skates and quad skates under the motto "To Skate Roller and Quad Skates in Plovdiv"

On May 20 and 21, 2017, Extreme Skate Association, together with the team of Run and Roll Bulgaria and the support of the Municipality of Plovdiv - Thrace Region, organized for the first time ROLERFEST PLOVDIV 2017 in Plovdiv for yound and adults. The motto of the event is "To Skate Together Roller and Quad Skates in Plovdiv".

The Rollerfest will be held in various locations in the city, suitable for roller and quad skating.

The aim of the event is to promote roller sport among young and adulst people as a way of healthy and enjoyable leisure time, to develop social contacts between young people, to motivate their desire for sport and the development of their motor culture, and  Last but not least - to give the people from Plovdiv and other cities in the country like Sofia, Stara Zagora, Burgas, Yambol, Pazardjik etc., the opportunity to do together what they really like - to skate inline or quad skates.


The festival will be officially opened on May 20th at 8:45 pm, in front of Escalibur in Lauta Park, and will continue with Lauta Cup races in different age groups at the Karting Lauta Runway.  The best players will be awarded with cups, medals, diplomas, and prize awards provided by sponsors. After that,the festival will continue with participations in "Sports Alley" in the Lauta Park - representing various sports and sports clubs that will be shot with a dron.
At both festival days , rides will be organized in the appropriate city zones, as well as demonstrations and slalom tricks with roller cones.


The Rollefest programme includes a "Rolling together" workshop - free lessons for beginners without age restrictions on roller skates and quad skates in which those who wish to try will learn about the rules for roller skating and why wearing safety protectors is so important. They will learn, basic techniques in different roller or skate movements such as accelerating, turning, braking, etc.


We will be happy to share the event with more young and enthusiastic people who will be doing sports and having fun with us.

20.05.2017 Saturday
08:45 Opening the Rollerfest behind Excalibur
09:00 RunNRoll Racing for Lauta Cup at Lara's Karting Runway
10:00 -11:00 Participation in the Alley of Sports - presentation of various sports and sports clubs to be photographed with a dron - Lauta Park.
Awards giving of the winners of the race at the Karting Runway.
11:00 -14:00 "Rolling together" workshop - free roller skating  lessons and roller skating for young and adults with prizes for the participants - Lauta Park, organized by Extreme Skate and SKATESHOP EXTREME
The participants will acquire:
- basic knowledge of the types of roller skates or quad skates and their safety protection;
- basic rules for roller skating or quad skating and putting on safety protection;
- basic movements such as accelerating, turning, turning of the inner and outer edge of the rollers and others;
- Main stops with roller skates or quad skates.

23:00 Night skating and tour in front of museums for a picture, related to the Museum Night

10:00 - 17:00 Skating, demonstration and slalom tricks with roller cones in the appropriate urban areas such as the Park of Alyosha Monument, Lauta Park, Rowing Base, etc.
17:00 Closing of the Rollerfest
