Our History
EXTREME SPORT was born back in 2004, starting as a small family business. The founders, Dimo and Lucy, are a family of hiking enthusiasts who turned their hobby into a business because they realized that the market lacked quality hiking goods at affordable prices.
They have been members of the "Cherni Vrah" Tourist Society since 1991. Participating in numerous hiking and ski tours, they realized that quality equipment is of huge importance even for amateur hikers. Thus, the idea to open their own shop was born. Initially, the company started with just a physical store in Sofia, but with the digital era, Lucy realized the need to reach more people nationwide through an online store.
The first European brand for which Extreme Sport became an exclusive importer was Alpina (Slovenia). This happened in 2007 when Dimo and Lucy were in Slovenia to climb Mount Triglav. Impressed by the comfort of the Alpina shoes they bought there, they decided to bring the brand to Bulgaria.
Years later, Extreme Sport became the official representative for Tempish (Czech Republic) for skates and rollerblades, followed by Kilpi (clothing) and Husky (tents and sleeping bags). In 2015, we opened our second, larger store on 42 Dondukov Blvd.

Dimo - Owner. Tourism, skiing, ski touring, Level 2 diver, climbing course. Hobbies: guitar, harmonica, and flute.
Lucy - Owner, Master in Geography. Dedicated to work, lover of tourism, skiing, and cycling. Loves animals and an eco-friendly lifestyle.
