REKD Ultralite: Professional Protection You Can Barely Feel
Why choose between style and comfort? The REKD Ultralite In-Mold is designed for riders who love the clean aesthetic of skate helmets but demand the lightness and ventilation of professional cycling gear. It is the ideal choice for urban commuting, park tricks, or long rides.
What makes this helmet unique?
Standard helmets use heavy plastic shells. REKD Ultralite uses In-Mold Fusion technology, where the durable polycarbonate (PC) outer layer is thermally bonded to the inner EPS foam. This results in:
- Drastically Lower Weight: Only 290g for size S/M. You'll forget you're wearing it.
- Improved Durability: The unified structure distributes impact force more effectively.
- Low Profile Design: The helmet sits snugly and elegantly on the head, avoiding the "mushroom" effect.
Comfort Details
REKD Protection has paid special attention to comfort for prolonged wear. The helmet features anti-bacterial padding that wicks moisture away and is easy to wash. A system of 13 ventilation vents ensures excellent airflow to keep you cool even on the hottest summer days.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
❓ What is the difference compared to regular helmets?
The main difference is the weight. A standard skate helmet weighs around 450-500g. The REKD Ultralite is only ~290g. This reduces neck fatigue and makes riding much more enjoyable.
❓ How do I choose my size?
Measure your head circumference with a tape measure. Size S/M typically covers 54-56cm, and L/XL is for 57-59cm. The helmet includes extra padding for fine-tuning the fit.
❓ Is it as safe as heavy helmets?
Yes, absolutely. The helmet is certified to the European standard EN1078. The In-Mold technology provides the same, and in some cases better, structural integrity upon impact.
