Master the Cold with the Premium Comfort of Merino Wool by Alpine Pro
The Alpine Pro RODE sports socks (model 1068287) are designed for those who demand uncompromising warmth during active sports. Harnessing the power of natural Merino wool, these socks provide exceptional thermoregulation – heating up in the cold and preventing overheating during high-intensity movement. Their specialized structure allows the skin to breathe while wicking sweat away from the foot.
Containing 52% high-quality Merino wool, this model is naturally antibacterial. This means the socks do not retain unpleasant odors even after a full day on the slopes or in the mountains.
Key Benefits & Technologies
- Reinforced Sole: The foot area is extra padded for increased durability and shock absorption with every stride.
- Elastic Instep Support: An integrated elastic knit in the midfoot area ensures the sock won't slide or bunch up inside your boots.
- Vapour Permeability: The fabric is engineered to transport moisture to the outside, keeping your feet dry and warm.
- Unisex Design: Anatomically shaped for both men and women, following the foot's contours for a perfect fit.

❓ Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is the Merino wool itchy?
No, Merino wool fibers are much finer than traditional wool, making it incredibly soft and gentle against the skin.
Why is Polyamide and Elastane added?
Polyamide increases the sock's durability, while Elastane provides the necessary stretch for a snug, non-slip fit.
Can I wear these for hiking in the summer?
While they are warm, Merino wool regulates temperature and wicks moisture, making them suitable for high-altitude trekking even in variable weather.
