TASHEV Arctic Trek Merino Socks
Ultra thick outdoor socks designed for extremely cold conditions. The large continuous long terry threads create a pleasant softness and volume and provide as much thermal comfort as no other socks.
The composition is a combination of natural and technological fibers: 54% merino and alpaca wool and Borgolon Nylon. They do not steam, do not retain moisture from perspiration, dry quickly and are antibacterial, do not retain odors and can be worn a second day if washing is impossible without causing you discomfort from moisture or odor. The Arctic Trek Merino socks are suitable for anything that is done for a long time outdoors in very cold temperatures, passively or actively. Not only for nature sports, fishing and hunting, but also for outdoor work. For those of us who love warmth, these are the socks to wear when arriving at the lodge.
Keep in mind that socks are much bulkier than any other socks and therefore it is necessary to consider the shoes with which they will be worn.
MERINO WOOL - Merino wool is the finest wool - soft, not sharp and not stinging, unlike ordinary wool. Thanks to its unique natural insulating and breathable properties, it is used for the production of the highest class outdoor equipment. Silky soft, but also flexible and strong, it provides the highest comfort. It is obtained from Australian and New Zealand merino sheep. Wool fibers are highly hydrophilic, have a high absorption capacity and anti-allergic properties. Wool does not melt or burn and provides high UV protection. The production of merino wool is environmentally friendly, comes from renewable sources and is biodegradable. Merino wool products contain an amount of lanolin - wool (about 0.1%) that coats each strand of wool. It protects it from contamination by bacteria and other microorganisms, thereby contributing significantly to its recovery, often called the self-cleaning effect of wool. High class fiber, ideal for skiers, snowboarders, mountaineers, climbers and all winter sports enthusiasts, as well as outdoor work in winter.ALPACA WOOL - Alpaca wool is very high class with exceptional natural properties. These are hollow and dry fibers that are fine, light, very strong and resistant to pilling.
Thanks to the hollow sectors in the fibers, they do not absorb moisture, but repel it away from the skin, which increases the breathable and quick-drying properties of the product. They do not retain odors, do not cause irritation and itching in sensitive skin.
BORGOLON NYLON - Polyamide fibers, soft and pleasant to the touch, with breathable properties, extremely quick-drying, very elastic, strong and long-lasting.
LYCRA® - Highly elastic synthetic fibers called Elastane that expand to at least three times their length after tension is released and return to their original dimensions. The highest quality Elastane fibers in the world are Lycra® and Spandex®. Elastane is always combined with other materials that are not used separately. Thanks to the incorporated percentage of Lycra®, the socks retain their shape and do not stretch over time.
