The light Sawaj 3 tent from the Ultralight range is the slightly bigger brother of Sawaj 2, and a great choice for bicycle touring and trekking enthusiasts. The weight of this model is only 2.5 kg, and has been minimized by siliconizing. Which means this double-skin freestanding tent with poles on the inside is also suitable for longer trips. It provides comfortable shelter for three people.
A lightweight and strong dural structure with lightweight pegs to stake the tent out for stability even in adverse weather.

Thanks to its advantageous properties, this material is widely used for outer tent structures, especially for expedition tents where every gram counts. Dural is an alloy combining aluminum with other elements to give it a low weight and the ability to withstand a large loads.
INNER TENT: Nylon 190T, mosquito net
Nylon 190T
Very fine, light, and breathable synthetic fibres with sufficient strength and elasticity. That’s why they are very resistant to tearing or other mechanical damage. This material is also suitable for low temperatures because of its good thermal insulation properties.
Mosquito net
The fine, breathable, and yet durable material of which the inner mosquito net is made makes it possible for air to better circulate around the tent. This ensures great ventilation.
OUTER TENT: 20D 360T ripstop nylon
Ripstop nylon
Very light and breathable synthetic fibres that are also sufficiently strong and elastic. That’s why they are very resistant to tearing. This material is also suitable for freezing cold conditions because it has good thermal insulation properties. In addition, the fabric is reinforced with a ripstop finish. Fabrics woven using this technology prevent mechanical damage, and if any such damage occurs, they stop it spreading further.
Siliconizing (double-side coating 3,000 mm/cm²)
A silicon coating is a reliable way of protecting the material against dampness as efficiently as possible, and it does so permanently. The impregnation is second to none, it’s light and extra-strong, and applied on the outer layer of the tent. Moreover, a material with this coating has a considerably higher resistance to UV radiation, as well as good thermal insulation properties. So it can be used even at very low temperatures.
The double-side silicon coating, in combination with the nylon and ripstop finish of the material constitutes currently the most advanced and lightest combination of technologies. Due to siliconizing, nylon is protected from UV radiation and is absolutely waterproof. Furthermore, this version makes it possible to use the lowest possible material weight.
GROUNDSHEET: 70D 210T nylon, polyurethane (coating 10,000 mm H2O)

A very light and breathable material that’s also sufficiently firm and elastic. This is what makes it so resistant to tearing and other mechanical damage. It’s also suitable for freezing conditions because it has good thermal insulation properties.
Polyurethane (coating 10,000 mm H2O)
The polyurethane coating provides permanent impregnation and is applied directly onto the material in various layers. This special treatment of the material prevents water penetration. The coating parameter is given by the height of the water column (stated in mm H2O), in other words the ability of the material to withstand water pressure.
Po poslední výpravě přes Sibiř a Střední Asii v roce 2019 kdy jsem byl téměř 4 měsíce sám ve stanu Sawaj Camel jsem se letos rozhodl pro změnu. Chtěl jsem něco ultralehkého a skladného, protože na motorce se u zavazadel počítá každý gram a každý centimetr.

"After the last expedition through Siberia and Central Asia, when I was alone in the Sawaj Camel tent for almost 4 months, I decided to change this year for bigger one from the same serie. I wanted something ultralight and compact, because on a motorcycle, every gram and every centimeter of luggage counts.
I was completely satisfied with the quality of the tent Sawaj Camel and its functionality and I would not change it, the only difference why I wanted a different tent was that this year we are going on a trip in two - again on a motorcycle. So we need at least a tent for 3, because when sleeping, we need to put both helmets and quite bulky motorcycle clothing inside the tent. That's why the SAWAJ 3 tent was the obvious choice. This tent is defacto made of the same material as the Sawaj Camej, with the only difference being that the inside is more spacious and therefore more suitable for traveling with two people, but at the same time, the tent is very small and light when folded and does not take up much space.
What I appreciate most about the tent are the two entrances from the longer side of the tent - to the side - which make climbing in and out much more comfortable. My girlfriend and I are currently traveling all over Croatia and camping with the tent wherever we can. Thanks to this, we had the opportunity to test the tent even in worse weather conditions, even in quite strong winds by the sea, when the tent had no problems with the wind when anchored correctly.
Moreover, the combination of the SAWAJ 3 tent, DINIS sleeping bag and FLAKE 3.5 sleeping mat makes sleeping very comfortable and is an ideal choice for trips when you not only need to save as much space as possible on your motorbike or bicycle, but also need to get a good, quality sleep to have enough energy for the next day."
